I get married and move first to Fort Washington Avenue at around 187 Street in upper Manhattan, and then to an apartment house in Pelham, NY (shown here in 1985).

First marriage didn't work out. I get married again in 1987. Per agreement, I then shave off my beard (see next photo...).

We quit our jobs in NYC and drive west to California, where our first child is born, Nov. 1987

We rent a small bungalow in Santa Monica; I get a job with a shopping center architect and play with baby Bobby (now Rob), 1988.

After a year in California, I apply for a teaching job at Cornell; we move to Ithaca, NY and trade the Pacific Ocean for Jennings Pond, 1989.
